With so many choices in materials, appliances and accessories,
sometimes it can be difficult to know where to start.
A good place to begin is to make a list of why you want to remodel your
kitchen and what you don't currently like about your old kitchen.
From there you need to determine the style and shape of your new
kitchen. Magazines and kitchen planning books have tons of pictures
that can give you ideas.
Different people have different lifestyles and, since the kitchen is the
center of the house and the room in which your daily food will be
prepared, lifestyle is the key to planning a kitchen that works for you. It
is obvious that a single person or a couple will have different
expectations from their kitchen than families with growing children.
At this point it is crucial that you determine a price that you are
comfortable with. Remember to include the following: cabinets,
appliances, countertops, walls, flooring, fixtures, as well as labor and
professional fees.
If this all seems overwhelming, consider hiring a professional to walk
you through the whole process. We at Innovative Kitchens and Baths
have a team of individuals that can take your dreams and turn them
into reality.
